"Romig Chooses Respect" in the News 

The Java Team from Romig Middle School worked with AWAIC to write a Youth Mini-Grant from the Alaska Network on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. The students received the grant and worked throughout last school year to educate their peers about dating violence. They have since moved on to high school, but their good works keep getting recognized. Recently, they received a "Domestic Violence Awareness Month Award" along with their teachers.  On 11/14/11, they will again be recognized at the Anchorage School Board meeting.

Funds for the Romig Chooses Respect project were generously provided by the Council on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, the Alaska Network on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault and the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services.
